Love to hate our Villains
Coldcore
Billionaire philanthropist Simon Pierce was thought to have died in an avalanche whilst descending Mount Kanchenjunga. When he emerged three days later without the people who accompanied him on his expedition (one of which was Pierce’s own son), questions abounded. Pierce claimed he had no memory of what had transpired. Afterwards, he was transported to the states for emergency treatment. The doctors, puzzled as to why his body temperature kept falling, were forced to flush his blood every so many hours to keep his core at a level above freezing. The papers deemed him, “the Iceman”.
The city council decided the excessive use of blood reserves on a single man was inappropriate and could be perceived as favoring the wealthy. The doctors were forced to stop the infusions. Pierce was refused the very thing that would keep him alive.
Pierce escaped the hospital and disappeared. Months later, he would emerge as the villain Coldcore.
